Our mission as Christ Church is to bring to the ends of the earth the good news of freedom from sin, death, and Satan through personal relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The key place we uniquely have influence is in the village and surrounding areas of Playa Grande, Honduras in Central America. Playa Grande is on the southwest coast, home to some of the world’s poorest and downtrodden people, living in years of cyclical dark hopelessness.

Some years ago, God sent Phernando Acosta, a native Honduran, to become a member of our church. After his personal growth at Christ Church, our elders called Phernando to go and live in Playa Grande to share the truth of God from the Bible to these people in order that God would form a group of believers there. The idea was that Phernando would spend enough years in Playa Grande, which he previously helped rebuild after the notorious Hurricane Mitch, to raise up a church with leadership and health enough to sustain itself. Then, Phernando would move on to another village to raise up another church.
